Mya-Lee - Year 8
Prior to coming to the Sacred Heart Language College, I felt doubtful, yet full of ambition. The teachers were really supportive and helpful as I became a member of the Sacred Heart. I remember sitting in the vast hall and feeling extremely intimidated, but I was oblivious to what kind people I would meet in the future.
I enjoy creative subjects such as English which I would like to undertake further in the future. I also like Geography (which I would like to do as part of my GCSEs) as I have a passion for learning about different cultures and places in the world. In addition to my interest in culture, I study Japanese as a hobby outside of school. Although it can be challenging, I thoroughly enjoy its obstacles and learning new things. The Sacred Heart Language College has been a community of opportunity, as I have been introduced into new sports such as volleyball (which I immediately fell in love with), new places (such as the Globe Theatre) and new people. In the future, I would like to be surgeon in a foreign country, so I could help people and additionally visit the countries of my dreams.
As my first year of being Pupil Voice Forum Representative, I have attended several meetings and completed many PCT sessions in which I notify my class of important information and take their opinions and views to share with the staff and make changes. The role is abundantly active and I enjoy it intensively.
