The Year 11 Awards Evening was held on Thursday 7th July. It was lovely to have pupils and parents in school to celebrate Year 11’s achievements. The evening began with a liturgy followed by a presentation of certificates  for all pupils acknowledging their achievements over the past five years. Then selected pupils were awarded with subject attainment and attitude to learning awards and overall awards and trophies. It was lovely to hear speeches from Miss Higgins, Miss Woldu, Miss Capp and Jessica Yuill (head girl). The formalities finished with a photo presentation of the life of year 11 throughout the past five year.

Staff, pupils and families shared a magnificent buffet in the school canteen and Year 11 enjoyed receiving their yearbook and hoodies. It was such a lovely occasion and a great way to end Year 11’s time at the Sacred Heart Language College.

The Leavers Ball was held on Friday 15^th July at The Village Hotel, Elstree. This year only pupils from The Sacred Heart Language College attended the ball. All pupils arrived in an impressive way – looking absolutely stunning showing off their own unique styles. The dazzled in their ball gowns or suits, sophisticated hairstyles and make up. Many were wearing extremely high heels which were abandoned when the dancing started. The ballroom was decorated beautifully and with the pupil selected colour scheme of black and gold balloons. Pupils enjoyed the buffet that was on offer but most especially the DJ which saw pupils dancing for the entire evening.

The evening was enjoyed by both staff and pupils and the photographs show that it was an exciting event.
