Author Kenneth Oppel visited our school on Tuesday 19th May to talk to Years 7 & 8
Famous Canadian Author, Kenneth Oppel, visited The Sacred Heart 0n Tuesday 19th May, as part of his UK tour.
Ken has won many awards for his writing and has toured Canada with J K Rowling!He was a huge success with our Year 7 & 8 girls and inspired them to read his latest Book, The Boundless which is an unstoppable adventure set aboard the biggest train in the world, made up of 987 carriages carrying thousands of passengers across the wilds of Northern Canada on the very first journey of the Canadian Pacific Railway. “a wild, cinematic ride; railway history, fantasy and thoughtful examination of social injustice - collide in this entertaining swashbuckler.
Lots of copies of his books were purchased by the students to purchase and dedicated and signed by Kenneth.
