I had an amazing four days with Gareth Thomas, and his team, as well as with Brent MP Dawn Butler and Councillor Steven Hickman. I spent two days in the Houses of Parliament and was led by Gareth Thomas on a guided tour. I also got the opportunity to debate my ideas in the second debating chamber of Parliament. My experience also included working in Gareth's constituency office and helping with canvassing on Harrow on the Hill by running the boards.

I have also been invited back after the local elections to launch a music campaign I pitched to Gareth Thomas that he really liked which was around a borough wide music  campaign  for young people offering free resources and creating opportunities to explore music,  linking in with Harrow Arts Centre. 

The whole experience was a lot more exciting than I had first expected and working with like-minded people on fun tasks. 

I will take away a lot from this experience and for others thinking of doing something like this in years to come I would say go for it as it is worth it and I made many memories. Javier has also offered me a future internship.
