YEAR 10 OXFORD UNIVERSITY TRIP

Thursday 12th February

On Thursday 12th February, Mr Lockwood, Mr Ustinov (a trainee History teacher) and 25 Year 10 pupils visited St John’s College, University of Oxford to find out how the application process works and what life at Oxford has to offer. A great day was had by all as demonstrated by some of our students below.

Mrs Williams, Assistant Headteacher

This was a very enriching experience that gave us an insight into life at university. We were welcomed warmly by Meghan, who explained the advantages of studying at Oxford and answered any questions. Next, we had a tour of St. John’s College, where we were allowed to see the libraries and living spaces. We were also able to go to the Ashmolean Museum to explore independently. Finally, the Q & A with two current students, allowed us to have a more personal understanding of living, studying and accessibility at Oxford.

Last week’s Oxford trip was a wonderful experience. I had a great time visiting the Ashmolean museum and asking current students questions and advice. The tour was also a lovely opportunity to see the university up close.
