An Inspiring Talk From Fr Antonio 

On the 13th and 14th of January, Year 7 were privileged to welcome a priest into our school. It was a very interesting experience to listen to Father Antonio talk to us about his vocation and journey through priesthood, and how he found out that God's plans are always the best option and the only time when you can feel fully content with yourself is when you follow them. 

Father Antonio spoke passionately about the joys of serving God as a priest, and said that one of his favourite things to do is to be with young people and answer their questions and doubts, as they are the new generation that will one day take his place. He also enjoys celebrating Mass daily, and also, as a priest, he has to pray 5 times a day. As well as doing the things that every typical priest does, he also has lots of admin work at times, something which we didn't know before.

Coming to the end, Fr Antonio also reflected on having to always be ready to comfort people in difficult moments, as well as encouraging and supporting them in happy times.

As well as learning more, the talk from a priest left Year 7 encouraged to be more like Jesus, inspired to follow God's calling and thankful for such a delightful visit.
