NUMERACY DAY 2025
Wednesday 21st May
National Numeracy Day 2025, celebrated on May 21st, focused on the theme of “Money”. The day highlighted the importance of numeracy in everyday life and focused on recognising and enhancing mathematical skills when it comes to managing money effectively. This year’s goal was to urge individuals, schools and communities to take part in activities and resources designed to help enhance numeracy skills related to investment money management and general budgeting.
To celebrate National Numeracy Day 2025, our school linked numeracy and literacy and pupils had the opportunity to enter a competition that enabled them to showcase the creative side of their gifts and talents. They were able to submit an original speech, leaflet, article, poem, or rap which related to numeracy. Each entry earned them house points and the main prizes were book vouchers.
The winners were :-
- Ist Prize - Netthirra 8H
- 2nd Prize - Hafsa 7A
