Pupil Voice Committee
The Sacred Heart Language College values pupils opinions. Therefore our pupil voice committee is a forum for each individual to express thoughts and concerns. Through this the school can maintain an outstanding learning and teaching environment keeping pupils safe.
Pupil voice is carried out regularly through termly meetings and pastoral curriculum discussions and also through meetings with the Head Teacher Ms Walsh and Head of Pupil Voice, Deputy Headteacher, Mrs McGarvey. Pupils voice opinions and actions are shared and regular surveys measure the impact. Pupil Voice cover many ideas such as safeguarding, teaching and learning, spiritual life, RSE and ideas of excellence as a pupil at The Sacred Heart Language College.
This academic year they have completed a Female Hygiene Workshop highlighting the importance of personal hygiene, and held Learning Conferences for year 7, 8 and 9. This allowed Pupils from Years 10 and 11 to share and model revision techniques for KS3 students.
Our pupil voice committee plan to continue this important work and host numerous events to raise money to further develop our school and its commitment to excellence in all that we do.
