YEAR 8 GEOGRAPHY FIELDTRIP

Year 8 Geography pupils recently visited King’s Cross, London, as part of their study on urban regeneration. Pupils explored the transformation of the area, with a particular focus on Coal Drops Yard, investigating how former industrial buildings and land have been regenerated into a vibrant area for shopping, leisure and public space.

Throughout the fieldtrip, pupils collected primary data and made observations to assess the social, economic and environmental impacts of regeneration. It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to apply their geographical knowledge outside the classroom and see first-hand how places can change over time.
