DRAWN TO IMPERFECTION EXHIBITION

May 2026
The exhibition Drawn to Imperfection focused on realistic portrait drawings that show human emotion and stories rather than perfection. I chose the drawing of the Woman at the Well, which represents a story from the Gospel of John where Jesus speaks to a Samaritan woman despite social barriers. He offers her “living water,” symbolising eternal life, which leads to her realisation that he is the Messiah. The drawing captures her moment of surprise and transformation, which I found really powerful. Her change is shown through her actions as she shares the news with others. Overall, the artwork highlights themes of faith, acceptance, and personal change.
