The Sacred Heart Language College

year 8 NLCS TRIP

Thursday 12th March 2026

Our trip to North London Collegiate

On Thursday 12th March, we had the chance to visit North London Collegiate School, and from the moment we arrived, the girls there made us feel completely at home. They were so friendly and welcoming that it instantly took away any nerves we had about visiting a new school. Talking to them felt easy, and they were genuinely interested in getting to know us, which made the whole experience even better.

One of our favourite parts of the day was learning about Greek mythology. The stories they shared were incredibly intriguing, full of drama, mystery, and ideas we hadn’t thought about before. What made it even more interesting was how they encouraged us to look at myths from different angles. Instead of just hearing the stories, we explored what they meant, why they were created, and how they can be interpreted in so many ways. It really opened our minds and made the session unforgettable.

We also had the chance to look around the school and see some of their facilities, which were really impressive. As we looked at the pictures and displays, the NLCS girls helped us understand the stories behind them and see things from a new point of view. Their explanations made everything feel more meaningful, and it was clear how proud they were of their school. Overall, the visit was inspiring, welcoming, and full of new ideas, a day we’re all glad we got to experience.
