PUPIL INTERFAITH DIALOGUE CONFERENCE

Thursday 15th January 2026

hrough the Pupils Interfaith Dialogue Conference Programme, The Year 10’s learnt a lot about different faiths, hearing the different perspectives as part of an appropriate World views Approach to religious education. We explored meaningful questions and have had our knowledge expanded on to recognise shared similarities and connections with the religions and world views of others, enhancing our community respect and cohesion. We discussed varied images categorising those that may reflect a positive or negative response.  This helped us to explore what this means in society today. The speakers from other world religions discussed what their faith meant to them and how the images reflected their beliefs by summarising the image in 3 keywords, e.g. freedom, dignity and persecution.

Interacting with other schools and engaging in interfaith dialogue helps us to understand the world in which we live in and be open to one another’s experiences.
