CHRISTMAS HAMPERS

Christmas Hamper Drive – Sharing Christ’s Love in Our Community
This Advent season, The Sacred Heart Language College is proud to continue our tradition of giving through our Christmas Hamper Drive, supporting those most in need within our local community. Guided by our Catholic mission to live out the Gospel values of love, compassion, and service, we are partnering with the Catholic Children’s Society and St. Joseph’s Church to bring hope and joy to families who might otherwise struggle during this special time of year.
Christmas is a season of light and generosity, a time when we remember that Christ was born in simplicity and humility. As a school community, we are called to reflect that same spirit by reaching out to the vulnerable and ensuring that no one feels forgotten. Each hamper represents more than food and gifts; it is a symbol of care, dignity, and the warmth of our shared faith.
Collections will take place on Monday, 8th December, and we invited every form group to contribute thoughtfully and creatively. To celebrate the effort and love behind these hampers, there was a competition for the best-decorated and most thoughtful hamper. It was not just about presentation, it’s about the heart behind the giving.
Through this initiative, we remind ourselves that charity begins at home, and our actions can make a real difference. By working together, we embody the words of Jesus: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)
Thank you to all students, staff, and families for your generosity and commitment. Let us continue to build a community rooted in faith, hope, and love, bringing the true meaning of Christmas to life.
