Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Westminster gathered in Westminster Cathedral to celebrate a Liturgy for the Jubilee. There was an opportunity to do a tour of the cathedral before the celebration. The Liturgy began with a parade of the flags of the colours of the Jubilee to the magnificent sound of the organ and singing Of ‘Lord of all hopefulness’ leading His Eminence Cardinal Vincent Nichols to the altar. Following the Gospel Reading, delivered through drama, with a focus on how social media influences our lives, however it is Jesus who has the biggest influence and answer to living a hopeful life. Finally, there was a procession of ‘Pledges’ from each school presented to the Cardinal followed by Eucharistic Adoration.
