Year 7 & 8 Retreat to St Albans

16th, 18th & 19th June 2025
Years 7, 8, and 9 went to St Alban’s Cathedral. St Alban, was a Roman pagan. He saved Amphibalus, a Christian Priest by hiding him in his house, taking his place and was killed by the Romans because he had decided to become a Christian, having been impressed by Amphibalus’ faith. Saint Alban said "I worship and adore the true and living God who created all things."
Each Year was divided into three groups and worked on the following activities: Group 1 Tour of the Cathedral; Group 2 CAFOD presentation on ‘ Group 3 Exploring the Cathedral grounds. We met together for lunch in the beautiful grounds of the Cathedral. And finished with Liturgy/Mass in the Lady Chapel to complete our Retreat.
