To honour the beginning of the Jubilee year announced by Pope Francis, that calls on all people to become Pilgrims of Hope we launched a Holy Door Competition. The idea came from the Jubilee door to St Peter’s Basilica in Rome. It is opened every 25 years for a Jubilee of renewal and invites all who journey to it and pass through it to receive forgiveness and a fresh direction for their life. The symbol of a door that calls us to begin a new journey was a very fitting symbol for our pupils to help them think about the meaning of this year.
