The Sacred Heart Language College

Deborah

My name is Deborah and I love being a pupil here at The Sacred Heart.  I went to St. Joseph’s Primary school and when I started here I was keen to get involved in lots of the wide array of activities that are on offer.  I have taken the opportunity to get involved in many activities at Sacred Heart such as singing in the Gospel, Chamber and Concert choirs. I took part in the Carnegie Book Award, where pupils and staff read a selection of books and then discuss them together. I am an active member of the School Council and enjoy the responsibility of representing my peers. I also represent the pupils of Sacred Heart as a member of Harrow Youth Parliament. I have also been a buddy mentor to younger pupils and have helped to show visitors around the school at Open Days. I love the fact that Sacred Heart offers many extra-curricular activities and extra study sessions for pupils to benefit from.

The two subjects I most enjoy are History and Modern Foreign Languages. I hope at Sixth Form to study History, Languages and Psychology. Beyond that I would like to work in marketing and advertising. I am sure that the confidence I have gained will help me to achieve my goal.
