The ‘Healthy Chinese Cuisine Ambassadors Project team’ visit

The ‘Healthy Chinese Cuisine Ambassadors Project team’ from the Ming-Ai Institute London worked with the year 10 Food Preparation and Nutrition group. The girls were given an insight into traditional Chinese Cuisine and an introduction into the variety of Chinese cooking from the various provinces of China. Kelly Meiessaar led the presentation and Yueqin Dong led the practical demonstration to show the girls how to cook Black Bean Chicken. The ambassadors provided the girls with the sauces they needed. All the girls managed to cook their dish in a short space of time and thoroughly enjoyed eating their completed meal. It was a very successful morning for the students who will use what they have learned to develop further dishes as part of their investigation into Chinese Cuisine.
