Year 3 Challenge Day: African Music & Dance
Year 3 Challenge Day: African Music & Dance
As part of our on-going programme of Master Classes for able, gifted and talented children in Key Stage 2, we welcomed a group of 20 Year 3 children from our local Catholic primary schools to a day of African music and dance.
Under the expert leadership of our past student, Joyce Adeyanju, and Adedoyin Adeyanju, Holly Moore, Ella O'Sullivan, Mary-Kate Padian and Zoe McCormack from year 8, the children learnt a challenging new dance. They then moved over into the music room, where they learnt how to play a range of African instruments. All of their learning from the day culminated in a dance and music performance for their parents at the end of the day.
