During their Induction day in July 2018 Year 7 students were all set a ‘Summer Reading Challenge’ and each student was given a ‘Recommended Summer Reads’ list. They were challenged to read one of the books from the list and to fill out a Book    Report form over the summer holidays.

Many students took up the challenge and handed their Book  Reports in at the beginning of the Autumn term. The   standard of reports was exceptionally high. The students were praised for their participation at an assembly and certificates and prizes were awarded to the two or three overall winners from each form. All students who took part in the challenge were able to count the book they had read towards their Year 7 ‘Reading Challenge’ scheme. Well done to all of them!
