This year, the History department have introduced a new unit on China with Year 9. As part of this, the students were asked to do a creative project on any aspect of Chinese history. The results have been amazing with models of the Great Wall of China, shoes made for women with tiny footbound feet, Ming pottery and beautiful temples and pagodas. A particular favourite is a life size terracotta warrior which the girls have affectionately named ‘Qing Ming’. Chinese history is incredibly interesting and we are delighted with the work and creativity shown by Year 9.
