CAFOD Big Lent Walk

This year the school community has been getting behind CAFOD’s Big Lent Walk. It is an initiative that encourages us all to mark the Jubilee Year of Hope by walking in solidarity with the Poor and Vulnerable, raising money and awareness about people around the world who must spend all day walking to find water and how it limits their life chances. Our aim is to combine the total number of steps taken by each member of the community and to try to reach Jerusalem during the season.

During Lent staff and students were encouraged to take part in the CAFOD Lent Walk, each week steps were logged in. Staff and students also participated in walking a mile in the mornings during PCT.

As a school the total miles walked is over 8000 miles! In this year of Pilgrims of Hope the Sacred Heart community would’ve walked to the pilgrimage site of Jerusalem.

Thank you to all those who have supported us and donated to the CAFOD Big Lent Walk.
